Rostra Consulting

TV and event presenter

Rostra Consulting founder Tony McMahon is an experienced TV broadcaster and corporate communications specialist who has no fear of the public stage or television studio. Tony McMahon appears regularly on TV documentaries discussing history, politics, science, and other issues. And he has chaired top level events as well as scripting and presenting lectures and seminars.

He has a background as a news producer and reporter with the BBC, Sky News, and Financial Times magazines. And for a decade, Tony worked in corporate communications helping to set up the digital arm (Cantos) of Brunswick PR.

Areas where Rostra Consulting can help when it comes to presenting are:

  • Chairing TV studio discussions including active participation in the preparation phase and then on to filming
  • Chairing events with multiple speakers and taking questions from the floor
  • Delivering lectures on public stages from cruise ships to convention centres
  • Presenting to camera in the studio or on location

Working with the global charity Football for Peace in recent years, Tony McMahon helped to devise, write, and deliver seminars to all kinds of audiences in the Maldives, Nigeria, and Albania. The main themes were around youth safeguarding and community resilience. In all those countries, he was required to liaise on behalf of the charity with government, local council, civil society, and law enforcement representatives. He is pictured below chairing a fringe meeting at the 2019 UN General Assembly in New York.
