Rostra provides copywriting and native advertisement services to publishers of magazines, newspapers, and online channels. We can also ghost write op-ed pieces and even entire books.
Native advertisements need to come across as authentic and truthful – as well as incisive and relaying a call to action. This is not something that can be achieved – yet – with AI. Good writers need to generate quality copy that readers and users trust and consume, as they would any other surrounding copy.
To achieve this, we work closely with the client and publication to understand their messaging and objectives teasing out angles that will inspire the end user. We can do the following:
- Promotion of forthcoming events and product launches
- Profile pieces on individuals
- Product reviews
- Event coverage – attending the event and covering it ‘as live’
- In-depth analysis backed up by research
Rostra director Tony McMahon began his career in journalism as a financial reporter and has a firm grasp of business issues and products so no topic is off limits in the corporate sector. He has also ghost written articles for politicians trying to reach and win over audiences on sensitive issues.

Tony McMahon is a former magazine and newspaper journalist, BBC news producer, and worked for a decade in corporate PR followed by a decade in government communications. He also appears regularly on TV documentaries as an on-screen expert and behind the scenes, often works with producers and networks on scripting and taking a concept from an idea to being fully realised.
Tony McMahon is an award shortlisted author and wrote two biographies, published by Aurum Press, that touched on themes around race in the 1980s. His books have been reviewed on CNN, Channel 4 News, Sky News, BBC, Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Independent, New Statesman, and other global media.
